Leather key fob

My car came with all of the keys but only one black leather key pouch. Did our cars come with one or two key pouches. Are they still available for purchase.

I received (2) key fob cases when I got my car. If it can be proven that the cars only came with (1) from the factory, I'd consider selling my extra one.

I did speak with an original Z8 owner who stated that he received only one key fob.

That part no seems to refer to a different style of key holder, not the pouch style pictured in post #2...

You might end up with the correct pouch. The pouch is the only key holder I’ve seen for the Z8.

I purchased one from the eBay seller in Germany a while ago. Worked out fine - the right thing was delivered.

Larry, I'm a little confused. The BMW part # I gave you is for the Z8 leather pouch with a zipper to store your key in. It has Z8 embossed in the leather. This is exactly what you show in your picture of July 13th. If this is what you are looking for there are 14 in the Nazareth warehouse.

Larry, I'm a little confused. The BMW part # I gave you is for the Z8 leather pouch with a zipper to store your key in. It has Z8 embossed in the leather. This is exactly what you show in your picture of July 13th. If this is what you are looking for there are 14 in the Nazareth warehouse.

The confusion is if you go to the link I provided (or any other supplier of BMW OEM parts), the drawing of the key holder provided is not a zippered pouch at all, and is likely not Z8 specific. Perhaps the drawing is wrong, so unless you actually order and receive that part no., it's not confirmed that the part no. is for the Z8 embossed leather pouch.

I have a new one of these embossed leather Z8 pouches in the original sealed clear plastic bag with the BMW part # sticker on the bag. I can't figure out how to include a picture of it here but if you give me your e-mail I will be glad to send you a picture. My local BMW dealer read me the description yesterday of part #51 21 7 008 769 and said it was a leather, zippered, embossed Z8 key holder $90.00 and with my BMW CCA discount $79.00

Sounds like the one on eBay for $195 + ~$35 shipping won't be sold to anyone who's done the research you have. $90/$79 sounds like an actual bargain these days!

F/U: I just picked up the leather key fob #51217008769 from my BMW dealer. $65 including tax! It is possible that the remaining US stock may be all that exists.

The BMW Z8 Club has a couple of hundred of these pouches. They were part of a purchase from BMW some years ago. They sell it at 25 € per piece.

I just checked, I have 10 pouches here. A couple of years ago I felt good about having some reserve. Never used them though.
