DME Recall?

So, I'm reading the comments on Z8 recently listed on BAT and there's discussion of a DME recall which apparently myself and a few others hadn't been notified about. Anybody here had a communication from BMW regarding recalls?

digital motor electronics ....... has something to do with the computer and controls of engine performance...I think

There was a recall (Campaign 20E-A01) that I received notification for our X3 in November and that was performed on the car in December. However, it did not apply to the Z8 or at least to my 2002 as I just called to check on that after reading this here as well as on BaT. Photo of the letter is below…
