Wanted: BMW Motorola Phone for 2001 Z8

There is/was a TDMA BMW flip phone on eBay, but I believe the early Z8's had the CDMA version...correct?

Ron- great question! A couple of years ago I purchased a complete “brand new” CDMA model with box etc. off eBay to have as part of my 2002 Z8 accessories. I later saw that TDMA models might have been the correct ones. If some cars were shipped with CDMA models, I would feel great about having a correct phone even if not what my car was shipped with originally. Hopefully someone here can confirm it!

By memory (which means fallibly) the two systems ran concurrently depending on if you were an AT&T or Verizon customer.

I finally pulled the trigger and bought a 2002 silver/black Z8! 6000 original miles, no paint work, etc. It has absolutely everything but the phone. A few months ago a forum member offered his spare but I didn’t purchase a car at that time and misplaced his contact. Hopefully someone can help with this missing part. Thanks very much. Larry
