I'm new to the Z8 board....... what's the best web site other than this board to sell a 2002 BMW Z8?

Craigslist, Ebay, autotrader, dupont registry, carsandbids, pcarmarket, bringatrailer? Any other important web sites I should consider? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My soon to be brother in law doesn't have time to sell his car so he asked me to assist. In the past I've helped him sell his BMW M5 and FJ Cruiser. Those cars were quite easy to sell as they are "common" and within reach to a sizeable market. The Z8 is much different. Any selling tips would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a big car enthusiast and I tried to convince him to KEEP the car because of it's uniqueness and collectibility status. He has no interest whatsoever.
2002 BMW Z8 with 9648 miles, a Chappaqua, Westchester County, NY car. Currently I have possession of it in Brooklyn, NY 11218. Titanium silver over black. Accident free. NYS title is free and clear. It has the original Bridgestone RFT tires along with lots of other OEM tidbits like the trickle charger, first aid kit, tool kit, flashlight, unused Motorola cell phone, tool kit, window sticker, owner's manuals, etc.

I've learned quite a bit about the car by reading the threads on this forum.

IMHO< Bring a Trailer seems to be getting the best $$$ for the Z8 market right now - even more so than the live auctions. A clean Z8 with low mileage will routinely bring well over $200K, and then some with low mileage like yours. I've seen the same car sell on another site and then resell on BaT 6 weeks later for $50K more. I watch the market pretty closely and believe that will be your best bet. Steve

Yeah - what Steve said. BAT seems to be the place.

BAT for sure. They charge the seller a nominal amount for listing the car, the buyer pays a 5% commission based on sale price up to a maximum of $5,000 on a $100k sale. Way less than the big auction houses. And they certainly seem to be the go-to place for buying and selling a Z8, with one on offer pretty much constantly.

Would anyone on this forum venture a guess on the value of a silver/black 1700 mile 2001 with all the goodies except the phone and first aid kit. It has the window sticker, Big Book, etc
    Thanks

BAT, ISSIMI and carsandbids.com seem to be the new type of web site for selling vehicles, unlike ebay. They write the listing for you after you remit an honest review of your own car, you supply the pics and the buyer pays the buyers fee upon successful auction result.

BaT buyers like an engaged seller in the comment section. Answer questions poised by bidders. If you do not engage, do not expect top dollar.

I just submitted the Z8 for auction on Doug Demuro's site, carsandbids.com

They will let me know when it goes live auction with a reserve.

Let's see how it goes. If it fails to make the reserve I will list on BaT.
