I used the parts guide and my service dept. says the PP has been discontinued and after further research apparently we can get all of the components from Germany at cost of approx. $700.00? Does anyone know if dealers in USA would carry the PP kit?

Also I heard mention labor on the install is around 7 hours is that accurate?

Ya, that is what they ended up doing for me... However, the dealer spent a good 2 hours measuring prior to doing it to ensure the frame was still perfect. Not sure if that is part of the 7 hours or not.

If you read the early threads on shock towers, you'd park the car until it was installed. We'd here storys about deformation even driving the car normally and hitting a small bump at slowish speeds. It was not on my car when I bought it, but I had the dealer measure the hood seams (I did too, with a quarter) and had it done before it was shipped to me.

Thanks appreciate the guidance. Where did you get the Z8 shifter knob mine is scratched and plain silver love the look of the logo version.

The Logo version is a very rare item which was installed on a small group of cars. The logo version was not available as a spare part. Sometimes it is offered on Ebay. The "normal" version can be ordered at your dealership.

I bought my Z8 about five years ago from the original dealer. They represented the original buyer. Adding the performance package was a part of the sale. They had it in stock. I have the complete install directions if anyone needs them. It states 8.5 hours for work to be completed.

The gasket is NLA...any chance you could create a template drawing so others can reproduce the gasket for their performance package?
