This 20MB ZIP file is a copy of the Z8 section from a 2003 BMW Parts Book that shows all of the chassis components of our car. It is scanned at high resolution because the print is very small, and that is why the ZIP file is so large for just 15 pages of info. I've printed it here, and it prints and views fine at this resolution, but if you need better quality than this you can email me for the raw scans.
NB: I purchased this from EBay in '03, and have no idea if the prices are dealer-trade or retail so I would caution against using them as a price guide.

PN 61-31-8-377-338 is the seat heater switch. I think you have to buy the switch to get the 25 cent brushed aluminum cover... And the switch is $500+. Might be worth pulling the seat out (four bolts) to make sure the little glued on aluminum cover isn't still in the car somewhere.
Thanks for sharing.

I will give that a try thank you
Same part disappeared on my car. I figured, with gravity and all, it couldn't have gone too far, though I couldn't see it. I probed around with this till I finally felt metal against metal and was able to eventually maneuver the bugger out into sight.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y72HRQ7...167HMP88DNFZ4I didn't have the benefit of something like this that could have made that process considerably easier. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KNCDO3U...ing=UTF8&psc=1
That is quite the tool I will continue to probe
Great advice I used an old backscratcher moved seat to full back position and pulled the plate out along with a few bucks in change and a chip
