Looking for a source to locate the current owner of the Z8 I bought new in 2001. I still have the original "Book" - in fact it is still in its original shipping box. The condition is absolutely MINT - I think I may have opened it 2-3 times when I first got my car in 2001. The car is Red?black and VIN # is 60471. A search of the registered owners in this forum yields DPZ8. He last visited the site in June. I just sent him a PM with a link to your post. It would be great to reconnect the original book to the car.

Ed - I did not hear back from the gentleman that apparently owns my 2001 Z8. I wish he would contact me because it really deserves to be with the car. Earlier this year I reunited a "Book", also in perfect condition still in the original shipping box, with the current owner of the matching VIN Alpina. I believe I charged him $1,200.00 for the book, which seems to be the going rate these days.

Yes - I was already a sports car enthusiast. I was also into Porsche's and still am. I currently have a 911 Turbo, GT3 and a Macan GTS. If I were a collector, I would have kept the Z8. It was one beautiful car, but frankly I was afraid to drive it due to the difficulty to replace it ... if something happened. I am not much better with my Porsche's, but they can be replaced. Porsche is a strong addiction... got to the point that it’s all I can drive. Miss my Z8 though. Will always be a big part of who I am. Mostly the trips and relationships associated with the car. I know that it is a very long shot, but my car was originally sold in NYC to a lady and I am the second owner. I tried multiple times to locate the lady, but without success due to the privacy laws. The dealer from NYC sent me the repair bills for the car, but with the name completely blanked out.
I also know that some random books were sent out by Bill Stewart, so maybe he sent it to someone if the original owner did not get it.

We have purchased a collection of Automobilia from a local collector which included not one, but two BMW Z8 Hardcover Books in original packaging, known as "The Book".

Both books are like new, presented with original vin sticker, leather embossed cover, and original black box with Z8 logo.

Vin #s are listed below, we would be happy to either re-unite these books to their vehicles, or sell to a true enthusiast to be enjoyed!
