I was sent this by a friend of mine who received it from his friend in LA. Does anybody know anything about this? Hopefully not anyone here!!! Very sad in any case. Looks like a total loss.

This isn’t a Ferrari F40 or Maclaren F1 that can be torn in half and still be rebuilt due to a multimillion intrinsic value. You are looking at sub frame, suspension, steering, engine displacement and damage, etc. etc. Insurance companies don’t go by the highest auction price either but have their own internal evaluation. So not knowing the full extent of the the damage but just guessing I’d say close to totaled( how much just repair a shock tower deformation due to a hard bump with no front brace? That’s 5 figures already)

Just sad that someone would destroy such a beautiful car for no reason. Probably should make note of the VIN WBAEJ13493AH62054 in case it pops up somewhere in the future.

It is sad to see, seems odd that a dealer would leave something with such a price tag in a place that it might get stolen, and if someone had the smarts to steal it you'd think they'd get it to somewhere safe to part it out or ship it overseas. They aren't easy cars to steal.

Really sad. This one is totaled. But, it could end up at auction (e.g., on Copart) and sold to some Youtube Channel such as the recently repaired 911R.

If it was like the other dealer ransackings, they broke open the key lockbox. At that point, all the cars are pretty easy to steal.

Thanks for posting the followup on the looted Alpina. I've been wondering what happened to the car. I think the dealer still has the $499,000 ad running.

$499,000 was a strong price for the car when it still had a clean Carfax. Sadly, they may have to adjust their thinking given the now-blemished history of the car.
