New Z8 Owner with Accessory Question

Hello BMW Z8 Gang - I am new to the Z8 Owner's Community. I purchased a low mileage 2002 Stratus Grey Z8 about a year ago and it underwent a very thorough rejuvenation at Enthusiast Auto Group (EAG) in Cincinnati. The car is now nearly back to factory new condition and I'm getting to know it.

I've spent a lot of time researching and purchasing a couple of the OEM accessories that that the seller did not include and was hoping you could help answer a few questions:

1. The prior owner left a set of four hooks in the trunk if the car (see picture below) and I cannot figure out what these are used for. I have looked all over the web and cannot see them in any of the accessories with other Z8s being sold. Have any of you seen these before / can you shed light on what they are used for? Are they OEM or aftermarket for something like a hard top stand?





2. Did BMW sell the car with a bag/protective sleeve for the leather tonneau cover that is used over the soft top when it is down?

3. I saw in older posts that some of you have amassed a collection of the coffee table book for the Z8. By any chance, do any of you have one in perfect condition (with the box, etc) that is bound in the black leather and available for sale?

I could not get your picture to load, however, I can't think of what the four hooks would be used for. Perhaps you could try to re-post the photo and it will trigger a better response.
If you search the forum under the "Z8 History, PDF's, Movies and Models" heading, you will find a discussion of what accessories came with the car originally. The direct answer to your question is yes, there should be a black canvas-like bag to store the tonneau cover. Lots of other stuff came with the car as well. Some of the accessories may still be available from BMW, others may only be found on EBAY or from someone here on the forum. As for the coffee table book, EBAY is probably your best bet, they pop up occasionally, usually in the $1,000-$1,500 range.

Enjoy your new acquisition! Mine is probably my all-time favorite car.

Could the hooks be the hooks from the back of the seat back covers? Really need the picture to load. StratusZ8, canyou see if you can get the picture to load, plaese?

Gosh, I don't recognize those hooks? Got me there!
