Can I replace a dead Z8 radio with another OEM BMW (used) radio

I fear that I've joined the "Dead Radio Club" in my 2000 Z8. The red security light flashes, but the radio does not turn on. I have not removed the radio or checked for dead fuses / loose connections, etc., but given that this is my second such experience, I am inclined to replace it altogether.I like the look of the OEM radio (color match, size, etc), and wanted to know if anyone here has been able to replace the Z8 radio with another OEM BMW radio. There are many functioning BMW radios available on Ebay, but I didnt know if they're easily substituted for the Z8 radio (size, wiring harness compatibility etc).Has anyone here successfully replaced the Z8 radio with another BMW radio? If so, do you know which model, etc?Thank you in advance,

If you do not have any luck with that (which I have never heard anyone having done), you can get one OEM at fairly "reasonable" price here:
