Door storage compartment wont fully close

Hi, passenger side door front storage compartment will not fully close. Nothing apparently wrong or blocking it. Any advise or ideas welcome before I start taking things apart.

I had the trim piece on it loose once making it stick out as if not closing properly. Just used some heavy duty glue and a small clamp to fix it. Could this be the cause?
