    BMWNA has spoken

Received this today in regard to the tail light issues:

"I wanted you to be aware BMW of North America, LLC will not be providing any goodwill assistance towards current rear tail light replacements, or in past replacements.

Iím sorry we will not meet your expectations."

So happy I don't own a BMW anymore, and there will not be any in my future either.

Very disappointing, especially when considering their assistance to owners in Germany. That said, I still love my Z8!

I am not sure but I have the impression that the European program did not start either.

Anybody familiar with the issues surrounding the introduction and expense of the "Performance Kit" shouldn't be surprised by this announcement.

I too was working the back channels and received a near exact, letter-for-letter, message. Pretty disappointing.

    Disappointing but not unexpected.

It proves once more however that US-based Z8 owners have no real interest in being a member of the Z8 Club e.V. International and that the word "International" in this context merely stands for "we gladly accept your dues no matter where you live".

Now I am going to take my Z8 out for a ride and feel happy !
