A few days back, Sony announced the a6000, which mostly updates my NEX-7 (possible higher model rumored in the fall). The I-pick-my-camera-to-look-cool guys aren't impressed, but it looks to do what the A7 couldn't – focus well and focus FAST.
The price of the body is $650. Stupidly affordable. Amazon pre-order...done.

Short video showing of the speed of the Sony's new sensor and processing unit in the a6000 (compared to the a65 and NEX 7). If the a7 could have done this...

This is really impressive! The one place the GX1 is pretty crummy is in auto focus performance, its slow and often picks the wrong thing- look at this a6000.
I've only had the a6000 for a few days, and it's still a bit clumsy in my hands. I was planning to have some great shots to share from a trip with my son to the mountains, but weather put me off of wanting to take many photos. I'll share a few soon.
I can say that the speed claims are true. It's wicked fast, compared to the NEX bodies I've had. The real shame is that I don't understand why the A7 series couldn't have had this same performance.
