    Z8 For Sale

    There were three Z8's at German Car Day at the Museum of Transportation in Brookline, MA today. There were two silver/red and a cobalt/crema that drew tremendous attention.

    One of the silver/reds was for sale. 2001, 10700 miles, $129,900. If anyone is interested I have more info on the car.

    ohhhh, I saw that once before. Numero uno for me. I think that is Carbon Black. I had an e46 m3 that color, sometimes black sometimes midnight blue. Gorgeous.

    J?rgen told me he'd seen a Carbon Black/Saddle Individual car in Germany and said it was really stunning, but that Midnight Metallic Blue and Arizona Sun car in the pic was one of four or five cars specially prepared by Individual for the Canadian market at the request of a chap called Manfred who was then head of BMW's Canadian operations. He later returned to head office in Germany, then mysteriously vanished from BMW with no explanation and no forwarding address.

    Topaz looks great on these cars. May even show the lines better than the Midnight Metallic Blue (MMB). But that MMB over Arizonia Sun combination is pretty special.

    I agree, the MMB is basically black to the eye, it's only in really strong sun at certain angles the blue really shows.
