While my other P-car is at the dealer, don't get me started, they put me in a 2013 Boxster. This is the first mid-engine car I've spent any considerable time driving, and my impressions are very favorable. Without the power of a Z8, you can race it around without too much interest from your fellow drivers or local law enforcement. As you would expect, the Boxster handles wonderfully on the twisty sections of the road and I've found myself taking the long way home from work to explore its capabilities in this type of environment. I was surprised to find steering directed headlights that turn on automatically, hill control brakes and fuel conserving engine start/stop functionality. Must be from the parts bin of parent company VW. Other than its rear visibility backing down our challenging driveway, Porsche has developed a car I would consider for purchase.
