Wow this will be interesting for me - this car is almost identically mine and in my 'hood. Not that I am selling mine but still. Thanks for posting!
Nice... my favorite experience was - a couple of late teen boys were walking on the street as I drove by them and they notice the Z8, are stunned and one shouts to the other 'What the f**k is that?!'...
Note that I recently got a similar code (intake in my case) and I basically traced it to wiring issues rather than the sensor itself. Worth having them check that first (unplug, plug etc.)
Thought this was cool - https://robbreport.com/motors/cars/ferris-bueller-luxury-garage-2870272/
My dealer has actually been great so far and I did email him. Their prices are same or better than online (I am in Canada so most of these sites are not ideal since crossing the border adds duty)....
Wow... awesome, thanks Skip (and Ed for the original post!) I will give it a try.
Thanks so much, guys! For the sill covers - I have thought the same thing and considered just bringing them in to a metal shop. Having said that, I will try the approach you suggested.
Hi,I did a complete service and detail of the Z8 this weekend and need to replace a few misc cosmetic parts. Does anyone have a particular place they have used for such parts, or have any lying...
Thanks everyone - went w 10w-60 - interestingly one dealer here suggested 5w-30 and then another vehemently suggested the former.
Have there been any further thoughts/findings about 10w60 vs the 5w30. Dealer still recommending the latter. I read the info posted back in 2016 but wondering if any new info is out.
Received it and it works super well - thanks for the recommendation! Showed that my Camshaft position sensor on intake on bank 1 is faulty so I will investigate and replace if required.
one of the most distinctive and beautiful cars on the road! Thanks Ed for sharing!
awesome... thanks! Just ordered it and priced in CAD $ too - excellent! Hopeful it works on all my modernish cars as my Range Rover check engine light just came on too... ugh!
Hi, I looked at the Bluedriver site and it says 'Engine Diagnostics Only' for the Z8. Does that mean it will not facilitate the clearing of codes once diagnosed and fixed?
Welcome! Amazing car, and amazing crew on here! I had the fortune of meeting many of the folks at Pebble Beach a couple of years ago and only wish I lived closer to the 'hubs' as it is such a great...
So what other cars will you add to the mix to fill it up?

Also... not sure about Monterey. I was hoping to as it is the Z8 20th anniversary of course, but it is looking...
The tax is one time, but basically 21% for anything between 125-150 CAD and 26% for anything above 150K. And, wow - 4.45 in California. Anyway, it is what it is and we motor on!
Cool... thanks for the insight and wow, great colour!! I love the Targa bodystyle.
I live in BC, Canada. I love cars. Just wanted to make those of you in the US appreciate the fact that you do not have to deal with the above two contrasting elements. Why contrasting? BC has a tax...
About to pull the trigger on one and wondering if anyone has experience with it, especially intermittent tracking?
Wow!!! I will be standing by my mailbox waiting for the unveiling party invitation! Looks great, Ed!Other than the images that have been shared here of cool garages, were you using anything in...
I am currently searching for a few cars and was wondering about BaT - cars seem to sell below market there a lot - any idea why?
That's awesome - thanks for that as I have to replace the other side for the same reason! Thanks!
I proudly display my exclusive 'Andrew Macpherson' Z8 photo in my bedroom... just as I did with my car posters when I was in my teens... difference is, I drive this one!Highly recommend the photos to...
Agreed Ed... I would have 5K on that puppy in a year at least so likely not the best investment for me!Still looking for my '63 Vette... also been looking for a '15+ Vanquish, in case anything...
Thanks so much for this!
Thanks Andrew - I may very well do that once I confirm that I can make it. Should know by end of the month.
Welcome to ownership of one of the coolest cars ever built! I have had mine for 5 years now and would never part with it!One note for dealers - my experience has been that most BMW dealers LOVE this...
I posted the 'selfie' image of it earlier in this forum, but Andrew, if you are looking for a distinctive chrono that fits the requirements Satch identified (flyback hand), has a date and is less...
Hi,
Anyone aiming for a 20th anniversary celebration in Monterey next year?
Patrick
Read your other post... looks like you had a great time! Thinking about heading down next year... 20th anniversary of the Z8 after all!
That's awesome... thanks Ed! Did you end up going again this year? How is the garage coming along?
So the light first came on when I let the fuel run low - it was down to the line. However, it went off when I filled it yesterday. Is this something anyone has experienced? Could it just have been...
Hi,Recently noticed that 'Service Engine soon' yellow words appeared on my Z8 - my fuel got fairly low so could it be that some contamination got in and it misfired? Can this be assessed using those...
Hi,Undoubtedly during a drive at blistering speeds, I lost the small cover on the driver's side that covers the washer popup device... the one that is flush with the headlight, but black. Dealer has...
Funny that a sweaty racing suit/helmet would go for the same price as our beloved automobile!
tonight is the night I guess! Good luck with the sale and let us know how it fared!
Wow, what a feat... but also particularly cool to see all of the innards! Thanks Andrew!!
not quite, Ton, more like what you would see at a car show - so these were quite large. Maybe 4x8, and they hung down long side vertical with the logo horizontal in the middle... next time I am...
