Thank you. And to you.
You are looking at the first model for the new structurally optimized aluminum lithium front calipers for my Alpina Z8.
@robertlinton1
First picture of new front caliper posted @robertlinton1.
Yes, carbon ceramic discs and lightweight bells will be used.
You might look at some of the pictures of my car's underside elsewhere on the Board.
The first pictures of the new front caliper will be @robertlinton1 tomorrow.
Thank you. Z8 Aluminum Lithium brakes moving along.
Sometime next week, you might want to look at my Instagram, @robertlinton1, to see the first screen shot of the new brakes for the Z8. Pretty wild and, of course, very lightweight.

Having improved my Z8 in many ways and reduced its weight by almost 300 pounds, I have decided to replace my older brake upgrade. The new calipers will be forged aluminum lithium, the material used...
As you might remember, approximately 12 years ago, Cartridge offered a small number of extremely high end components for the Z8. I thought that all were sold. However, yesterday, in cleaning out a...
As you might remember, approximately 12 years ago, Cartridge offered a small number of extremely high end components for the Z8. For the record here's what was specially made then.
One Cartridge...
Yes, it is quite amazing. That car is over a quarter century old and it still looks great. In fact, I can think of no "luxury coupe" from that era that I liked more. And, though Roundel could not...
Yes it is - and still has about 250 miles on it.
another one
The only wheels I like better is my one off set of 20" forged aluminum Alpina wheels -- approximately 5 lbs less per wheel.
Have no pictures of the full car. Change fuel, fluids, etc., keep seals moist. Car is in climate controlled environment.
Still have yet to put a single mile on my Alpina (Cartridge version) but maybe one day.
The Cartridge Exhaust System is alive and well but it is a system and not merely mufflers alone. It saves in excess of 70 lbs. and has, at least in my opinion, a wonderful sound and includes:

When you come to the East Coast and take the pictures.
Though, of course, I am prejudiced and there are only two Cartridge Z8's:
Cartridge Leather Sunvisors With Leather Covered Mirror Doors
Cartridge Leather Rear Interior Grills
Cartridge...
Cartridge would be delighted to make it but the cost would be enormous for one piece. For example, I would estimate tooling to be close to $100,000.
New titanium hood release vs. old one.
Instead of blead screws - dry breaks!
As the originals looked very bad - newly refinished hood springs.
I believe that the words of Sam Clemens might be appropriate, "the reports of my death are greatly exaggerated".
How do you put out a lithium fire?
It has cats. Notwithstanding, Cartridge is not attempting to sell Z8 exhaust systems.
Approximately 73 lbs of weight reduction, better sound and higher quality materials.
Could we raise the bar a bit?
Forged aluminum (original wheels are cast). Did not take pictures because, other than better paint and clearcoat, the new wheels look identical.
Have had the Alpina Wheels remade as a forging. Saved 5+ lbs per wheel. Inside and outside finish the best I have seen in any wheel.
The good news is that we could easily get it to match the Tubi in sound. In fact, we could let you come to the fabrication facility and let you work with the fabricator to alter the sound as you...
Though not finished, the lightweight support forward of the cats.
I have three of the TekBettery units on order and we will begin testing as soon as they are received. The cell technology is similar to that of the Voltphreaks but the peripherals and execution are...
We are running an evaluation and tests of the Voltphreaks unit and I am not sure I would jump to replace your current battery until more information is available.
Has anyone tried this http://www.voltphreaks.com/home.html -- 12V battery (VPHR18) that weighs 6 lbs. For the price, $675, on a per pound basis, better weight savings for a Z8 than many other things.
Do not know yet other than the improvement in performance that comes from reducing weight by 73 lbs. Over the next few months we will dyno. Having said that, given certain constraints in the system...
I believe so.
