The crack I referred to was NOT in the seat back panel, but in the painted seat side panel. For both the driver and passenger side, it was in line with the seat forward/backward switch.

I recently acquired new seat backs. They each included the (2) bottom clips in a separate bag...I did not have to buy them separately. Since the seat backs now only come primed, a local body shop...
I just received my 2 new seat backs, from GetBMWParts.com, which cost $488ea. Bottom clips came in separate bag. Took 5 weeks to get them. Now off to get them painted, which will likely be another...
