I just spent a couple of rainy days at the Nürburgring, which is of course the Mount Everest of all race tracks. I stayed in the Dorint Hotel, with a nice view from my balcony over the GP track, which looked lovely the evening I arrived. By the next afternoon the rain arrived, and I did the BMW CCA of Germany school with trepidation as the little 3 series I had slipped and slid it's way around the very complex and hard to learn track.
If you ever intend to come here I must recommend BMW's own driving school, as doing the owner's club course just gives you too little time to learn such a technical, difficult and very dangerous track. In my shots below you can see the cars of BMW's own school - I'll be back for that one for sure!
Here are a couple of pix of the place, and the track museum, which includes a hall dedicated to BMW, and has the Moto GP Z8 Safety Car.
