Mint condition with 17,500 miles on it. Black with black/crema interior. Alpina wheels, two tops, cell phone etc. etc. $80,000 firm. Photos on request.

Thanks, I'm not in the car business and the price is firm. Hopefully someone also recognizes this is a good deal. My only concern is how to accept payment....you hear so much about fraudulent bank checks etc.

I would only accept payment by a cahiers check, or wire transfer, and do not release the car or the documents until your bank confirms it has cleared.

I do hate to sound paraniod, but also beware having buyers come to your home to view the car if you are doing a private sale, use your local Starbucks to show the car, and your bank's car park to finalize the transaction. Also keep a close eye on your rear view mirror to be sure you aren't followed home.

I don't mean to be an alarmist, but I have heard some very unpleasant tales of things that have happened to folks selling exotics, it seems we are an easy target for the criminal classes.

Sounds like an awesome Z8. black crema/black and alpinas!!! now don't tell me you've even got the crema top? I'd love to see some pics. Maybe you can post some. If the car was in Europe I'd be on my way to you right about now ;)

Car has been sold (despite the pic. with the door ajar) to a new owner in PA. Good sales experience with an honorest buyer but I did get a lot of e-mails from Europe and Africa.
