With the hard top on, roof seems to squeak with every rough surfaces on the road (no pot holes). I have tried to tighten up the locks, but no improvement. There is no noise when driven on very smooth surface.
Is that just the way it is with the removable hard top?

I've run into the same problem in the past especially in cold weather, and got a rubber lubricant at BMW. When placed on the rubber weatherstrips before mounting the top, it got rid of all of the noise. It also works on the weatherstrip around the windows where I was getting some squeeking as well. I'm sure that the over the counter rubber conditioners would do the same. Personally, I was topless yesterday enjoying the "mild" 50 degree day.

I found the same thing. Mine does not squeak at all now.

Great, thank you for the info.:) Rubber lubricant sounds like an easy fix to very annoying little squeek.
I just picked up mine in Dec with the hard top installed so I have not had a chance to go "topless" yet, but I will definitely do that now.
