I had heard that some devices have trouble reading the Z8 OBDII port info. So I plugged my Carchip into the OBDII port and ran a few tests. It seemed to have no problem reading the port. Attached are some sample reports from the test.
Carchip and also read error codes and resets the light. I've used it on serveral cars in the past, and was pleased to see it works with the Z8. If I ever get an error code I give it a test with that too.
You can configure it for which items it monitors and at what frequency it records the data.
