Dieter has just fitted these RD-2's to his beautiful Stratus/Crema

Front: 8,5J x 19" with 245/40 (Y) 19" Pirelli P Zero Rosso Direzionale
Rear: 9,5J x 19" with 275/35 (Y) 19" Pirelli P Zero Rosso Asimetrico

He says that the feel and handling is a greatly improvement over the stock rims with Bridgestone RE050's, but is waiting for replacement Brembo discs, and a trip to the 'Ring before giving a full rundown.

These Racing Dynamics 19" RD-2 wheels are shown on Dogsbreath car in NV.

Front - 8.5" with 15mm offset
Rear - 9.5" with 18mm offset.

They are slightly lighter than stock, but despite their larger size they are lighter than the OEM rims. They are the same as the ones on Dieter's car above, but they now come in a much brighter silver which you can see here.

....wow, even with the OEM brakes that looks great. I'm very anxious to see those wheels w/ the Brembo set up. Now I'm torn between the M6 OEM wheels and these beauties. Please post pics at your earliest convenience. As always....thanks for continuing to make this forum an additional pleasure to Z8 ownership!!!!

Damn it Dave! I did not need to see those. I've been wanting the RD2s ever since seeing the first pics of Dieter's.

Great - more temptation! Thanks a lot!

I think the front spoiler and stainless steel roll hoops are next for my car.

I like the rear valance and exhaust but with two Eisenmanns sitting in my gargage, I am commited to the stock rear valance.

The front lip caught my eye as well, much cleaner. But, I think I'll stay stock on the body.

myself!! Agree with thegunguy... great more tempation. I like the HyperSilber finish better on the new RS2's (no offense Dieter) but personally I think they need a bit of "bling", as Andrew says, with a highly polished lip to accent the chrome accents. And oh yeah, add the chrome hoops too.

I have still not found what I am looking for... as far as wheels go, but the RS2's are close. The big brake kit with cross drilled and slotted rotors and gloss black rotors (my choice for a silver car) would be an excellent addition.

Oh my, decisions, decisions, and just when driving season is upon us!

Racing Dynamics RD2's and Wheel Locks

I recently purchased BMW wheel locks. The shape of the wheel lug hole with these wheels is such that the BMW lock adapter cannot effectively seat when the lug is near to being tight (ie as the lug advances the adapter reaches a point where it cannot).

I ground the adapter down to 14mm, filed the edges down to prevent scratching the wheel and it works perfectly. There is good engagement and the wheel lock can be torqued down to the appropriate setting.

I can post pictures if anyone else plans to get locks

ps Thanks Jeff. I will post pictures of the big brakes when I install them - but with my upcoming schedule it may be awhile. I am also in the process of building a 1960 racing Mini - it is currently a wreck. Lots to do...

Here is a shot of Dave's final set up, with both the Brembo's and the RD's.

Love the hypersilver finish much better than the pervious version , it really catches the light well!

Me... still have not decided on the RD-2s but I must say, they do look nice.
