20" HREs (Alpina size) Pirelli tires. They weigh about 22--23# ea! Feels great. Was looking for a "wagon wheel" with strait lines to contrast the soft, sinuous body. Still getting used to it. After nearly ten years, change is hard. Really love it from most angles.

I love black wheels and think they look great on your car.

They're very much you. I really liked the look, seeing them live the other day. If I can crawl out from under work any time soon, I'm going to process some of the 'Z8s on Safari' pics and post.

Now you need some Brembos behind those new wheels ($$$$)...Thanks for keeping the economy going.

Brembos too at some point. But as stated below $$$$! And it's not like the car needs better brakes. I've never experienced any fade, even at the track. But, they might feel better, and look better for sure. Anyone want to sell me their brembos at a substantial loss?

Ian, those look great, and definitey a must on the polished edge!!! Congrats! Definitely a look IMHO that you can do only on a black car though. I have seen the gloss black wheels with chrome or polished edges on silver and just not as "hot" looking but look great on a black Z8 like yours.

Those look like Pirelli P Zeros -- did you get the 295/30/20 for the rear?

Yes 295 rear. No PS2s in that size.

@#$!.... When I got my HREs I wanted to retain the roundel in the center, but always wished HRE would do what AMG has done by etching or molding the HRE logo somewhere else in the wheel. I even considered asking if they would do it just for me. Well... look what I just noticed on their site!

They obviously liked your suggestion!
