I am selling my perfect and very rare (1 of 15) Stratus/Cream-Black 2002 Z8 with just 8,300 miles on it. $129,000

I have owned the car since new, it has always been garaged, never seen rain, and is in pristine condition, save for one small scratch on the paint at the edge of the soft top well. (I was using a bottle brush to clean down in the soft top storage area and the brush slipped, the wire center putting down a 1 and a half inch scratch in the paintwork, see photo). I do have The Book, but I wrapped it up and stored it somewhere, and now have been tearing the house apart to find it to no avail. It is safe, I just can't put my hands on it at the moment!

All the stock accessories are present and accounted for (including the phone, which was never installed).

I will also include the motorized hard top hoist.

Looks simply stunning, can you let us know the last 5 of your VIN. Good luck with your sale, and don't forget to let us know when it goes.

Is the scratch in the clear coat or the paint? If it is just the clear coat it can be fixed.

Beautiful car and waaaay clean garage!

The scratch is in the paint. That waaay clean garage is testament to my waaay thorough cleaning that contributed to said scratch. Ah, the perils of perfectionism.

Not sure what "looks good to bad in US and not EU" means?

Not right now... the place I am spending most of my time doesn't lend itself to beautiful exotic cars that should be kept pristine.

I happened to see that a less rare Stratus/Crema is selling at the dealership in Scottsdale (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-Z8-Z8-1-of-44-02-Z8-4K-Mi-1-OF-44-EVER-BUILT-COLLECTOR-GRADE_W0QQitemZ120550119338QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item1c1158d7aa#ht_20448wt_1167) that sells a lot of Z8's at $149,000, so your rarer car is an absolute bargain at this price!!

US verzion vs Eu verson has reflectors in rearbumper and different rear number plate "space". Rest as far as I know is same

I once tried to get a list of the differences but was unsuccessful. Tail lights and headlights. Some of the electronics - e.g. the rearview mirrors are us and eu specific. Radio and nav too. No cup holder. Side mirrors give a wider perspective.

Must admit, I haven't seen many EUs stateside aside from mine.

All that info is right here (http://www.bmwz8.us/vbb/showthread.php?t=109&referrerid=2).

Also the Z8 Club list all the differences in their literature too.

Very rare Stratus/Cream-Black is sold. She has a new home and a wonderful new owner.
Many thanks to all on this board for your generous information and spirited humor. I will check in from time to time, if only to make certain you are all properly flexing your Z8 muscle and your hair is appropriately tousled from your top-down, pedal-to-the floor mat days.
All the best,
Z8Muse
