Update to ProMount front license plate holder.

The tow hook is located behind the middle horizontal grill bar next to the far right section. One grill piece snaps in and out.

Plate holder shaft was 2.5 inches too short and would not accept the plate holder. New shaft being milled and should be coming.

Will post pictures when done.

Just finished installing the ProMount front plate mount....its a perfect solution...no drilling no muss...took 15 minutes and because it is off center...the plate does not destroy the cars visual appeal...so anyone needing a non permanent front plate to get past a dmv requirement or inspection or ticket...go for it...

Cool! Sounds like a great solution.

Here are some pic's....hope this helps...the mount simply screws into the threaded tow hook block....installation involves removing one grille slit (just pull it off as it's only clipped on) and screwing in the mount shaft (high quality steel) attaching the mounting plate (a single slotted large machine screw) and attaching the plate (as you would any other plate)...my plan is to remove it after visual inspection by the authorities...i will simply unscrew it and reattach the grille...no residual damage done to the car...

I have one of these mounts as well and intend to use in "necessary" situations. fyi... The fitting on the forward end of the mount has capacity for some angular adjustment which allows the plate to be oriented more parallel to the bumper direction, if one would so choose.

The fact that it does not damage anything is good. I can see how it makes for a perfect solution to an "inspection only" situation. But, for permanent installation, the center mounted plate looks better to me.

You can use the bumper mounting hardware to mount it to the lower grill- it will rest up against part of the front bumper though- so you should put some kind of pad in there but it works.
