I like to change my own oil and filter. Could someone please tell me where the oil filter is and how to access it. Thanks.

The copper washer that Andrew eludes to in his post from 2005, is for the drain plug and has nothing to do with the oil filter. If you drain the pan the traditional way, you need to change the copper washer. If you use a top sider, you don't.
If you need a top sider / fluid evacuator / whatever you want to call it, they are available at Harbor freight. Just insert the large flex tube down the dipstick tube and suck away.
Be sure to apply some fresh oil to the O ring after you install it on the cap.
If you are in Northern California and need a hand, I have 2.
