Chrome Peeling

The chrome on the top of the my driver side mirror starts to peel. Is there any way to stop/slow down this peeling process? Anyway to fix it other than replating the whole thing?

I think once chrome starts to peel thats pretty much it. I'd suggest getting in touch with dana Caldwell at Peter Pan BMW as he will certainly have the best solution for this (and any other) problem. 650-294-2123
