Another Z8 DE car has been sold without proper disclosure, yet again posing as a collector special that has never been abused, etc, etc. Well this time I have pictures of that that very car at the Z8 De, as you can see below, and yes, that really is car 60023. I noted all the VIN's during my DE, so I am 100% certain this is that car.

The car sold for $80k, which is a fair price if it had full disclosure. The seller was...

So our little mudlark found her way onto EBay, and is now sold.

This car is trash. I talked with the BMW Service Manager in Towson, MD that inspected the car when it was in Hampstead for sale. The car has extensive modified shocks installed, major body damage on the driver side, and all repairs were done by local non-BMW body shop men. Paint looked good, but he said that car would not pass the BMW inspection and they would not endorse the car.

Car is probable worth $30K at best due to the extensive shock modification and the transmission fluid was fried (looked like solid mercury) and the transmission need replacement or a serious rebuild.

I talked with the BMW mechanic that conducted a pre-sale inspection of this car and it was found to have in excess of $20K of repairs needed to bring this car just to BMW pre-certified inspection requirements. He also mentioned that the transmission fluid was so impregnated with gear dust that the fluid was actually silver in color with enough metal flakes to make a wonderful paint color. He called it about the color of the Titanium silver of my car.

Pity da fool that bought that car.

Scott: I don't know what it sold for on eBay, but Andrew may remember; however it was listed for $83K when it was in Hampstead MD with the used car dealership.
