Have any members replaced factory speakers?

I strongly feel that an auxillary amp, along with a good speaker swap may markedly improve the sound of our Z8 stereo.

Has anyone done this without major modification and alteration of existing trim? If so, what do you recommend for components? Thanks.

I have not done this on the Z8- but on my 1996 E36 M3, I swapped out the speakers and kept the head unit/ amp/ and the result was very surprising in a positive way. The trick is you need to get speakers that will work well electrically with the stock amp. And the fit and finish is critical for the Z8 so find a good shop. Then post pictures!!
