People may laugh, but the useless spaces to the right and left of the deep cargo space in the trunk were bugging me. Anything I put up there fell into the center space that I wanted to keep neat and available for big items.

I solved the problem by custom making (actually adjusting) a cargo net to keep small items up on the sides where I want them. Best of all, it attaches with no holes, glue or other cheesy modifications. Looks great and works great...

Here it is ...
Components are:

Bell Cargo Net 45"x24" (about $10)
Stanley Open "S" Hooks 1" (about $1)
Scissors to cut net to 20"x5"x20.5"x9.5" (trapezoid)
Candle to melt nylon where cut so it doesn't fray
Black paint for "S" hooks (still to be done on mine)

Thanks, looks pretty good. I too like to use that space, but things often tumble into the center.

That's the space that my wife has allotted for my clothing for the Monterrey trip. She's reserved the rest of the trunk. This is perfect to keep my stuff in its proper place and keep me out of trouble.
