    Question WTB Z8 Red/Red

I am new to the board and I have been looking for while for a Z8. I have determined I like the Hellrot Red with Red interior the best. Prefer a low mileage but I know I will want to drive it. So mileage may vary. Would appreciate any leads or help finding one.
    Thanks

Only 77 were made with a red/black interior. Wish you luck to find this very rare combination

I know it might be hard to find. I like the Black/ Red also. My wife likes the Red. So I am thinking, lets look for a Red one right now. Thanks for the input, looking forward to the pursuit.

Your search intrigues me: as far as I can see in the red interieur of the red Z8 the seats are black/red, as well as the doorpanels. The brochures also show the red/black as the only interior color with red. In the statistics it shows there was not a car delivered in an Individual color. Did you ever seen one life or on pictures?

Ton, you're indeed correct on the rarity. Furthermore, only half of the 77 made it to the U.S. as I believe 77 is total production, so the pool either here in the U.S. or across the pond is around 39.

In the U.S. at least, the red cars were available with straight crema interior (not the black/crema) and black interiors. None are all that common.

BTW, the red interior in the red cars would match your black/red car. So, it's sport red interior with black seat bolsters.

When I was looking for one, there was a red with red/black interior and low miles (less than 10k miles) for sale in Florida in 2019. It had a Florida license plate "Z 8" Not sure if it changed hands. But they are definitely out there. Good luck in the search!

Dan, spot on: 38 were produced for the EU/rest of the world market. On the moment there are 4 for sale in Germany...almost 10 percent ;-)

Ton. I assumed people would know when I said Red that I meant SportRed/black interior. As the only Red interior that I know of was a SportRed/Black interior. I know there should be around 38 in the US. But having the car I would want is more important than just having a Z8.
Thank you all for the information and help.

That one boykie posted looks like it hits the sweet spot. It's not super low mileage but that just means you'll be more inclined to use is as God intended! Best of luck on your search.

Wow, with the hardtop on the red/red (already a favorite) is ever more sensational!

The only all red interior I ever saw pix of was this Individual silver/red spotted in Monaco in '08.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2001-bmw-z8-48/ Red with red/crema interior just popped up on BAT

And a red soft top! I don't think I have ever seen a red soft top.

I sort of like the custom red soft top, but the crema interior with the red highlights would not be my first choice. Otherwise, it looks like a nice red over crema car.

Those huge roundels on the headrests are truly hideous…

The red top is actually pretty cool. The seats are not pretty cool. Red/Crema makes for a beautiful Z8. Red carpet wouldn't bother me in that car either. I don't think it would be a huge undertaking to put those seats back to stock and replace the headrests.

And what's with the black accents inside as opposed to red? This car's got a lot of strange going on.

Gregg, which black accents don't look right to you? Aside from the BMW roundels on the floor mats/headrests and red panels on the seats and the headrests, the interior looks correct for a red/crema car.

I guess I thought the painted hard parts on the interior were body color but you are correct. The red cars were trimmed with black now that I think about it
