2003 Z8 (#62104) Red/Black - 1 Owner, Under 500 Miles - Sold

No doubt we'll all be watching the sale of #62120 at Gooding & Company very closely this weekend - an EXCEPTIONAL car in the seriously striking colour combination of triple-black!

As all auctions go, there can, however, be only one successful High-Bidder.

Not to worry.

62104 was finished in Hellrot over Schwarz. I took delivery in January of 2003 through BMW of Sarasota, who delivered the car to me in Palm Beach. A few years later I had 62104 trucked to Kentucky, where it has been stored in a CarCoon, inside a climate-controlled warehouse along with a few of my other classics. Apart from having the original battery replaced, 62104 remains untouched, with all accessories (except for the trickle charger) still inside their original packaging. The hardtop has never been off the car. No excuses - Mint!

Just a thought, but if you are looking for top dollar for such a seriously gorgeous car, you might want to consider replacing the fogged headlights. Not cheap, but a relatively modest investment to bring the car up to the highest standard. Good luck with the sale!

Thank you. In reality, the pictures are to blame for the fogged appearance - the headlights are crystal-clear! I'm not sure why the images uploaded in such a large, grainy format. Bobby

I believe this car was a “no sale” on BAT earlier this month with reserve not met at $255k.

The comments note that a deal was worked out with the high bidder after the sale. The seller has confirmed this, but no mention of exact sale price.
