    760 Wheels On Z8

I was wondering if the 760 wheels from the E65 series would fit on the Z8. It offers a similar look to the Alpina Z8 wheels but is a 19 inch instead of a 20.

    These are the specs

    Front Wheel Size: 19" x 9" 24mm offset
    Rear Wheel Size: 19" x 10" 24mm offset
    Bolt Pattern: 5x120

I just copied from the main thread tire thread....

The Offset for the OEM Z8 18x8 / 18x9 is the same as the 20" Alpina wheels.

    Z8
    18x8 offset 20mm front 30lbs
    18x9 offset 22mm rear 32lbs

    Alpina V8 roadster
    20x9 offset 20mm front 28lbs (?)
    20x10 offset 22mm rear 30lbs (?)

That looks like the offset may be a bit off, but can't be totally sure.

Right. I believe the offset on the Z8 wheels is the same as the E39 5er. I don't think they would quite fit. That said- stylistically I think they would look nice.

Oh well, was looking for an alternative to Alpina wheels as I don't want to change the suspension, and the Alpinas are by far my favorite 'aftermarket' wheel.

I think you would appreciate the suspension change as it makes the car more drivable. But I think you'd also have to find a different set of sway bars as well.

The cost of the Suspension + Sway Bars + Alpina Rims don't justify in at least in my opinion the gain in appearance.

But they absolutely do the gain in handling and drivability!

I agree with Andrew whole heartedly. Let me put it into tangible terms. The car is both more comfortably riding and it holds the road better. In the holding the road better part, I have taken the car on several road trips on the twisty highways around my area (NYC suburbs). At highway speeds the stock suspension would feel like it was pretty much out of play/ travel around 85-90 MPH. Thats plenty fast but I think as cars have improved over the decade since the Z8 was made I've gotten used to more advanced and better road holding suspensions. With the Alpina suspension that speed at which it seems to run out of play/ travel is now around 120 MPH. I would never really drive that speed constantly, but basically with this suspension you get both benefits which seem at odds at each other. The only issue is that of cost and the subjective looks. I think the car looks amazing with the 20s on it and the Alpina suspension actually lowers the car a drop- which helps. You can also get the Dinan caster plates which will help the highway driving on sweepers.

Part of this is also how you want your Z8: optimized for driving pleasure or optimized for collectibility. On the flip side, I can always put back the stock parts. I kept them all

    Hello Kevin,

Style 101 Motorsport rims on my Z8 is a direct fit from E65/66. No spacers or whatsoever. Offset is perfect. So I think those wheels will be a direct replacement.
