    Pandaman

    Guys,

I bought my Z8 off Dennis Slechta (Pandaman) who fell ill late last year.

Very sadly I was told he passed away at 3am last night.

    Regards

    Peter

He was a nice man. Sorry to hear it. We are all getting older. Enjoy life while you can.

    Hi Joe,
i only knew him through buying the car but get the impression that he did enjoy his life to the full before illness struck him. That is a blessing.

Yes, Very sad day indeed. Dennis was a wonderful fellow, always cheerful and great fun to be around. We will miss him.

Got word that no formal funeral service planned but potentially a Memorial service in a few weeks. Will post information as I get it or become aware.

Again, loss of a great friend.
    Best Regards,

    Jeff

    Everyone,

Andrew will be collecting condolences and sticky notes to Shelly and Dennis' family to put on a photo of the group from a few years ago (same photo we did for Bill Stuarts family) and then we can send it to Shelly letting her know how much we will miss Dennis.

Send your notes via email to Andrew [email protected] or PM him here on this forum.
    Best Regards,

    Jeff

    Remembering Pandaman

The Z8 brought us together back in 2002 as Dennis periodically would reach out to fellow Z8 owners with small gifts customized by his embroidery business.

I had the privilege of getting to know Pandaman over the years not only as the astute, successful and hand-shake solid business man he was but more so as a most passionate and kind hearted individual, always ready to lend a helping hand, always upbeat and in great spirits. Dennis, the friend, the car guy, the perfectionist and the relentless ambassador of his beloved hometown of Grapevine, Texas.

The Z8 community has lost a great man!

I only knew Dennis through his generosity with fellow members but could sense how special he was.

Such sad news. I recall my first meeting with Dennis in person at Panda along with Christian, Paul, and Andrew. He was a great guy, and I'm sure he's being missed by a number of other enthusiast groups as well (NSX, Roadmaster, bikes, and Pinto?)

This is so sad. He made our Z8 hats a few years back. RIP. Dennis.

This picture is from April 26th, 2014 on the awesome trip Paul Peck and others put together for the Z8 group. I think this was at the dinner near Mena, AR.

We are very saddened to hear this news. He was always full of life and had a great sense of humor. He never met a stranger and just genuinely fun to be around. Always careful with is prized Z8. Dennis was happy to bring up the back of the pack and just enjoy the ride.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been a bit caught up with work. I'm preparing a print to send out to Shelly with comments and notes, so if you want to add to that either. Hand write and iPhone snap, or just email me - [email protected] - and I'll add your condolences to the print.

OK team, this is the last call, send via email, iPhone etc, whatever you'd like to say by tomorrow evening, and I'll get a print ready.

    Andrew,
Hope it's not too late to advise that it is Shelley Slechta.
