    BBS Style 101 mounting

    Good evening all...

I have acquired a set of BBS style 101 20" wheels for my Z8. I am mounting them this evening, and am using the original lug bolts. I was told that this was appropriate but it doesn't seem that they are anchoring into the hubs as deeply as with the stock wheels. Simple question. Are the original lug bolt appropriate for this change? Thanks in advance for the benefit of your experience and expertise!

I confess I don't remember if they required different bolts, but the easier way to tell would be to put the original bolts in the OEM wheels, and measure how many threads stick out the back, and then do the same on the 101's.

Great suggestion, Andrew... I will do that. But how do I know how many are enough?

I'd say 15 threads, but thats a complete guess.

All original BMW wheels use same size bolts. I have 101 wheels on my z8 as well. I use the same bolts on 101s and stock wheels. Could you please check if there is a spacer mounted on the 101s?

Thanks for the reply. There were no spacers included with the wheels. They are mounted directly to the hubs. Thanks again.

I also have style 101's on my car and used the original bolts with no issues.
