    Car Cover Question

I moved my Z8 to Bonita Springs FL. We have a private garage within our condo garage. I keep it covered using the original Z8 cover, have a fan in the garage and put Damp Rid buckets in the car. Even having someone change the buckets every few weeks, I still get mold in the interior. Also, when I use the original Z8 cover, I still get a salt film on the car surface. Last time down I covered the car with old bed sheets and I did NOT get the salt film on the cover. Should I look for another type of car cover? Anyone have experience/suggestions from a high climate area? Before this I had the car in CO, so no issues of that type at all. Thanks!

Cars, aluminum and humidity never go well together, I say move it back to CO and rent something that you don't care about in FL!

May be you can use a car capsule and put a dehumidifier in the capsule and route the water discharge pipe out of the capsule. Leave the windows half way open.

That's an interesting idea. According to the car capsule website, it will keep moisture out of the enclosure. I may call them and ask a few more questions. I really can't run a humidifier in that garage because I don't have a place to drain to. Also, the building manager Nazi will give me trouble.

It does not keep the moisture out. I keep my car in a garage where humidity is not a big issue but the dehumifier still collects water.

If electricity is a problem in your garage then you wont be able to run the capsule as well.

Why not just go rent a space or garage in a climate controlled warehouse a little inland and leave the car there?
