2002 Z8 (#61329) Silver/Black with just 543 miles remained unsold for 280k at Auctions America

This time capsule car is estimated to reach up to 320k, which I would say is the right price. Be interesting to see where it ends up.

That's pretty crazy. Just over 500mi! It will be interesting to see what she brings.

The un-driven car may be the saddest thing in the world.

Oh, and they spoilt it all by putting on the front plate holder!

This car suffers from the same "problem" as many of the other super low miles cars that have gone before it. Because there is nothing special about it, other than the low mileage, the buyer won't even be able to drive it to the corner store. Hope the buyer is looking for the ultimate...paper weight.

Especially M cars. They tend to fail when they are not driven. Two of the 9 cars imported here have very low mileage. One stays in a private collection with less than 50km. Its a two tone individual. Other one has around 3500km and it sits in the garage of one of the Mansions on the Bosphorus straight in Istanbul. Once, those garages were used as boathouses so you imagine the humidity. Most of the electrical parts are oxidized and the owner choses to have them repaired instead of having those control units replaced.

Hmmm ... I personally find the pre-auction estimate rather optimistic for a silver-over-black, add to that 10% auction fees. The Euro ain't anymore what it used to be, so European appetite has diminished.
    Other than that ....

Few of us are here. Saw the car. Looks nice, like any new Z8, silver over black.
Front license plate bracket is an eye sore.

...even if you factor in the buyer's premium, it's still considerably less than the cars at marshall goldman and a few other dealers; which makes me wonder what the highest-known sales actually have been, either privately or by dealer? without a question, i'm confident the value will be there in the future, and as an original owner, i certainly have a vested interest in any appreciation, but i can't help but think that the prices being thrown out there at the moment are just a bit too optimistic? of course, value is set by what a person is willing to pay, so...is anyone out there willing to pay $275,000, $300,000, or even $350,000 for a car with any mileage, in any colour?
