Z8 sold at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas...

Sold at $86,900. with the buyers commission. The topaz car with less then 20k miles looked beautiful under the stage lights. The announcers mentioned that they only knew of two cars built in the last ten years that have held their value...the Ford GT and the Z8. They were both surprised at the selling price calling it "possibly the steal of the day". http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...=672.1&aid=465

I believe that this car was the same one that sold in January at Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale. Sure looks like it. Makes me wonder.

What does "Title in Transit" mean?

When you consign a car to be auctioned you are supposed to hand them clear title which immediately transfers to the new buyer once the hammer drops and the car is paid for. If the title is in transit it means the auction house is waiting for it to arrive and they are letting buyers know this. Perhaps the owner paid off a loan and is waiting for the loan institution to release title.

Most likely. Maybe domed shock towers?

Thats what I wonder. I also wonder if the color combo is maybe not so desirable? But if that is true then maybe theres a little credit on the price not this.

I watched the auction on Velocity TV. After seeing the low purchase price I went back on the DVR looking for any damage. They opened the hood during the auction and clearly showed the engine...there was no visible deformation to the shock towers.

Buyer got a great deal on a Z8. I would prefer the Topaz with Crema but it's still a nice car at a great price.
