Z8 on the bay with 141K miles!!!

This car was driven like they stole it http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-Z...item3f19ef471e. I have not heard/seen any Z8 even close to that mileage. I'm tempted to go look at it (in Irvine, CA) just for kicks and to see how bad it is.

A US car with European taillights. Interesting. It looks from the pics that it has been ridden hard and put away wet but hey, pretty amazing with 141,000 miles and still going. Energizer bunny??

Salvage Title, 141K and still asking 70K. That too is amazing price retention. Not sure if they'll get that much for it, but if I had a penny for every time I've said that.

Wow, what history! Accumulating 141k miles over its first 8 years, auctioned, totaled, stored for a couple of years, re-titled (salvage), and now reappearing before an international audience on eBay...

I'm conservative in maintaining all of my cars in their OEM state, but in my mind if there ever was an opportunity to go wild on a Z8 with my favorite colors de jour, crillorot/schwartz, chopped windshield, and performance mods this is the right vehicle. Just not at 70k.

I suspect that the current seller paid around $30k for it, and likely put $30k into it, but there is more to this story than meets the eye, because the car would never have been totaled for a crushed hood and headlight as he claimed. I suspect there is some kind of far more significant damage lurking in its history.

Wish I could buy it for 40K... That would be a slam dunk, even with all the funky history. I need a car to seriously molest!

I think at 25k its a slam dunk. Thats likely the cost of a new motor at retail.

Oh I hear you, Im just saying, for me, to achieve "slam dunk" status, paying for the motor and getting a whole car (though with some issues) is a win.

I wonder what the car is worth as parts? Down to each switch!
