    Cartridge - LeMans

I was pleased that the top three winning Porsches at LeMans today were all equipped with a variety of Cartridge supplied parts including carbon fiber induction systems, carbon fiber oil tanks, lightweight wiring and other electronic components, axles and 10 ceramic ball CV's -- and, most important, that no Cartridge parts failed at LeMans.

    Thumbs up Congratulations!!!

That is a wonderful achievement! Makes me both happy and proud that my Z8 will be wearing many Cartridge components!

Great! What a race this year.

How far out are the Z8 parts?

    What's in the pipe?

Suspension only? I've got he ACS kit, plus Dinan bars. After driving on it for a couple years it seems like it may be too short on travel. I'ts awefuly choppy on my local country roads and pitches a bit at the track. I'de love a system that didn't bottom out so easily, but retains the tight feel and nice low stance. Any hope? I haven't ridden in a car with the full Dinan pkg. That only lowers 1/2 " (I think), compared to the ACS 1". This sounds like it could be a better compromise of ride vs handling for mostly street work.

How much weigth / rotating mass does it save?

and of course, the most important question, can I have one?!!
(I have a memory of this piece being Alpina specific.)

It is Alpina specific but one could always make them for the "standard" Z8.

    I am interested...

for a "standard" Z8. How much weight does it save? Could you give me any info on pricing & availability?

    Thanks,
    Dieter
