Thread: Z8 Luggage set made by Schenodi.

Thumbs up Z8 Luggage set made by Schenodi.

My beautiful set of Italian made Z8 luggage arrived today. The leather is a very dark charcoal grey, and the set is really well made, and of course it fits the car perfectly.

This stunning set was made available to club members during J?rgen's tenure as president.

Thumbs up I agree -- definite advantage to Club membership

I received my set last Thursday and very pleased. Could not agree more with Andrew's statements above. The leather is of the finest quality. I was impressed at how supple and soft the garment bag leather was -- incredible!!

The deep Charcoal black looks great with my red interior as well and compliments any Z8, regardless of the interior. After receiving mine, I spoke with J?rgen about the Z8 Club offering some color specific Z8 Luggage tags made in the interior colors (i.e., Red/Black, and Creme') as possible additions to accent this beautiful set of luggage -- again, exclusively to Z8 Club members only. He liked the idea and was planning on investigating it's feasibility and cost as soon as he gets the Spring trip to Italy over with.

Here are a few photos of how the luggage looks with the Silver/ Red Z8.
The bottom case still leaves alittle room for stuffing other things around it, while the upper cases fit snug as a bug to prevent any slop around. The set comes with two shoe bags made of the same quality material as the lining of the cases and can be stuffed in the corners of the trunk or in one of the cases. The garment bags can be laid out flat or closed over in the middle to leave room on each side for other items too. The Ladies tote and Men's mail pouch bag fit perfectly behind the seats (pictured with seats all the way back -- if you are short like me, still leaves plenty of room for other stuff.

Again, great set of luggage and to reiterate, membership has it's benefits. Certainly, this was a limited production set but if more people join, now that it has been done once, if a large enough order from interested new members occured, who knows... maybe another order at some point in the future. Again, everyone should join the Club as it truly has it's obvious benefits but also is the best way to keep us united as we move forward in the second decade of one of the most beautiful cars ever created.

Hi Ken, Sorry, but the "Club Luggage" was a one time order for members of the International BMW Z8 Club of Germany. However, there is a very nice great quality set of bags that fit the Z8 from Roadsterbag which is also listed in another thread here. I have both sets. While the Club luggage is fantastic leather quality and custom fit, the Roadsterbag has a few advantages such as being readily available, 1/4 the price, lighter weight and if you damage one, replaceable by Roadsterbag. However, if you join the BMW Z8 Club of Germany, certainly there are various members only purchases over time that you would be able to participate in. I think everyone should be a member as they have a direct relationship with BMW and have been very helpful with any issue we as an owners group have had with the Z8 over the years.

The Roadsterbag thread is listed about 8 lines down under the Group buys section of this website and has all of the contact information their.
    Best Regards,

    Jeff

    Anyone with buyer's remorse?

Shame I joined the club too late, those are works of art. If anyone is regretting their decision to purchase, let me know. Otherwise, I'll keep my fingers crossed that there is another batch done up.
