The Road to Monterey 2016: Canepa Motors Scotts Valley CA

On 17 August 2016, five Z8s left together for Monterey Car week. To break up the trip, we stopped at Canepa's in Scotts Valley to tour this amazing facility that has a restoration shop, a museum and a car sales showroom. As you will see from the pictures this is a great place to stop for a "car guy" or "car gal".

Just a plain Jane 288 GTO in the parking lot? You can do better than that right?

All jokes aside, isn't that GTO within door dinging distance of that Chrysler utility van thing?

    Aren't they selling Bobby Rahal's Z8 too?
    2000 Red over black
heavily modified for performance. Although, not to the level of GM's car

I can confirm that the 288 GTO was in fact well within door ding range of the minivan. Ironically on the drive down to Canepa, Patrick (screenap) was telling me one of his favorite cars was a Ferrari 288 GTO, and then there it is!

Yes, Bobby Rahal's former Z8 was still there too. Here's an image from a Cars & Coffee event in June 2016. The wheels appear to have been powder coated in gray.
