    New press - no news

A friend in German sent me the article below.

Auto Motor & Sport, a German automotive magazine, included an article on our issue in their latest edition. Roughly translated, they write that there might be a problem with the strut towers, that 30 cars might have the damage, and that there will be a performance package from BMW for EUR 3,900. BMW stated that the Z8 passed all test during the development, and that in case of a damage, the car might not being used in a normal way.

    Nothing we don't aready know...

This is obviously a BMW AG Press Release.

Since I have seen that number of cars with the damage already myself I hope they won't try to trot out that little lie here.

I doubt very much that this comes from BMW. There is no benefit coming out of this for BMW to publish this information in the biggest car magazine in Germany. The article especially mentions the "one-pothole-story", and the need for an extremely expense repair up to ? 50,000.
Certainly nothing that BMW likes to be discussed.
