    THROTTLE VALVE SWITCH

    The day after I returned from the Dolomites the engine was running irregularly in the lower Rpm. After some research by the BMW dealer the throttle valve switch was diagnosed as "dead" Replaced both switches and now it is running again smootly. Luckily it happened AFTER the trip ?...

    Wow, that's a first, I've never heard of that one before. Do you have any more details?

    Just dead Andrew?.and considering the 18.000 mls ?a sudden dead. I replaced the other too because they seem to work simultaneously.

    First time I heard of that too. I would have guessed a MAF failure...guess that shows how much I know!!
