Thumbs up Tuesday 12th, Carmel Car Show

The first three Z8's to arrive drop in on the car show on Ocean Blvd in Carmel, and enjoy an interesting and eclectic mix of machinery.

Thumbs up Wednesday 13 - Auto Memorabilia show

An easy day with only the Automobilia show to visit, cars to be cleaned and final plans to be locked in. The first set are the cars in the garage of the Marriott, then at the car park of the Automobilia show. Below them are some pix of Tony, who is the planner of the show, and a look at some of the stunning things on display. If there is anything here you like, or there is something you've always wanted you can contact Tony directly through the board, or I'll pass on your request.

    Wednesday 13 - around Monterey

I had to do a hotel break, and some final planning, so while most of the team headed off to lunch in Carmel a few of us stayed behind in Monterey, where we checked out the bay, and then did a quick wander around the Russo & Steele preview on a rooftop car park just by our hotel.

Wednesday 13 - The Aquarium Dinner

A great day out, but the best part of it was dinner. Since I first came to the Monterey Aquarium I've dreamt of having a dinner there, and with the help of my Z8 'family' I got to live, and share that dream tonight!

Extra special party treats were provided by Norcal, who handed out route maps, hats, emblems and more as a gift of much effort and work by his team, and also a special edition of boxed Z8's from J?rgen, Sylvi and the Z8 Club e.V.

Here's one of Norcal handing out the awesome gift box his team put together, and 2 pictures of the Z8 factory guest book that Jurgen brought along for us to sign. The first page of the book has some sketches by Henrik.

Does anyone know how many HP the Z8 from Tennessee generates with the SC?

    Thanks,

I think the black on black on black, with black wheels and the hardtop (black) on are good for an extra 100HP

    SC'ed HP

"Does anyone know how many HP the Z8 from Tennessee generates with the SC?

It's really easy to figure the approximate HP of a supercharged car since the supercharger is a positive displacement device. The supercharged HP is roughly

    HP(supercharged) = HP(unsupercharged)x[14.7+boost(PSI)]/14.7

14.7 PSIA = standard atmospheric pressure

The increase in HP is roughly the ratio of the absolute boost pressure divided by atmospheric.

He would have to be running almost 13 PSI of boost in order to obtain 750 hp

Monterey and the 17 Mile Drive.

A few more photos from the trip. It was a lot more fun driving fast, enjoying those great dinners and sharing stories...this going back to work thing sucks!

The otter became a sort of unofficial mascot, though it wasn't till Sunday night, with the Tequila flowing that the week of otter spotting sort of morphed in all kinds of otterisms. I thought everyone was in on the otter joke, but maybe it was just the tequila!!

This is the one that gave Evie & I a pretty good show at the Aquarium, thing was so fast in the water that even though I spent five minutes trying to snap a good pic of it swimming with the little snap camera I couldn't!
