I just heard from Dana that Scott, who some of you will remember from Monterey '08 and his posts on the board, has died.

This is truly very shocking and sad. If there's one person who could handle a situation, Scott would be that guy.

I know, it really is horrible news. What's so baffling about it is that as an ex-cop and martial arts expert, he's exactly the kind of guy who you'd expect to have got the better of a situation like that.

Wow! That is a shock. I can only think that if it wasn't random, it may have been related to his work. They don't mention it in the article, but I seem to recall he worked in "private security".

As the person who bought his Z8 a year ago, I am so shocked and saddened by this news. In the brief time I knew him, I found him to be a gentleman and a stand up guy. My deepest condolences to his and his wife's families.

Sounds a lot like the menendez brothers who killed their parents for the inheritance. Yet this case really did not get the same press
