As I was scooting along Mulholland to get my new tires today I couldn't resist the lure of an empty car park and the stunning winter light, so I pulled over and snapped a couple of pix for no other reason than the moment grabbed me!

I just put on the same Pirelli P-Zero that I had before as the new Pilot Supersports don't come in my prefered rear size. Hopefully they will by the time I've got through these, but I've done a lot of sporting miles including four track outings on these tires, and find them to be superb.

iPhone-ing it again today!

Another simply glorious La Nina Sunday in LA wouldn't be complete without a little Z8'ing, so since my NEX7 still isn't here I pushed the iPhone beyond the bounds of reason, and it sort of works, to a point. Check out downtown LA over 40 miles away in the bottom pic, not bad for a phone!!

Great stuff, Andrew. You'd love the increased DR from the new phone.

These are clear examples why all the big camera companies are reporting falling performance, leading by plumitting P&S sales.

Looks like we'll be NEXing mid-month. Fingers crossed.
