Bimmer Magazine gives a pretty good account of what our Z8's are selling for here in the US and around the world. They are predicting that the value will continue to rise.
Good news for our heirs!

Z8 Sells For New Record Price:
A BMW Z8 sold for a record auction price at an Artcurial
(https://www.artcurial.com/en/departm...rial-motorcars
/)classic-car sale that raised 7.2 million euros ($8 million).
Still, the top price was for a 1958 Mercedes-Benz Roadster, which
made 849,000 euros.
The Z8 sports car model has been boosted by its associations with
James Bond, who famously drove one in the movie “The World Is Not Enough.” With the
marque’s centenary approaching, the 2000 Z8 sold for 280,700 euros including premium. It
was estimated at 150,000 euros to 200,000 euros.
The 007 connection may well have assisted the Aston Martins in the sale too. A DBS Vantage
from 1970 changed hands for 200,300 euros, while a DB4 Series 4 from 1963 achieved 548,300
euros.
Two of a trio of Ferrari Berlinetta Boxers made the top ten prices. A 1978 512 sold for 381,400
euros and a 1983 512i went for 321,800 euros. Among Porsches, a 1993 964 Turbo 3.6 Exclusive
sold for 302 800 euros, and a 1988 930 Turbo fetched 271,800 euros.
The November “Automobiles sur les Champs”, the ninth annual edition, saw 80 percent of the
lots selling. Artcurial Motors had sales of more than 71 million euros in 2015, a tenfold increase
since it was created in 2009, said Matthieu Lamoure, managing director. Artcurial said it had
obtained the highest price for a car sold at auction during the 2014/2015 season, with the sale at
Retromobille in February of a 1961 Ferrari 250GT SWB California Spider from the Baillon
Collection for 16.3 million euros. Its next sale will be on February 5 2016, at the Retromobile
Salon in Paris.
